Few names stand out in the Winnipeg real estate market like John Pearson’s does. Since becoming a commercial and industrial agent in 1985, John has sold/leased over 11.4 million square feet and developed & coordinated over 5 million square feet throughout Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Ontario. His expertise comes from experience in a wide variety of projects and is proven over four decades of hard work and devotion to his clients.

John Pearson graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Winnipeg in 1979 and a Masters in Natural Resources Management in 1982 from the University of Manitoba, with a thesis in location theory as it relates to industrial land development.

The path he took to becoming one of his home province’s premier brokers started South of the border. Prior to and after graduation from his master’s degree, John worked with a family land use planning and development firm from 1980 to 1984 in Houston, Texas. This included being the marketing/development manager on a development project, an experience that gave John development experience at an early stage in his career. From then on, he was ready to take his knowledge back to a community he loved – back home to Manitoba and Western Canada.

In July of 1993, John returned to Winnipeg and became jointly involved with various commercial real estate brokerages and developments in several provinces. From securing all the property locations for Home Depot locations in Manitoba, Saskatchewan & Northwest Ontario; all Staples locations in Manitoba & Saskatchewan; and many of the Loblaws, Walmart and Sobeys locations in Manitoba, John has built his reputation on putting his client’s needs first.

John thinks like an owner as their family business is an owner in a considerable portfolio of commercial and industrial real estate, including but not limited to being a 1/3 owner in the Corral Centre in Brandon, Manitoba (500,000 SF of retail/office buildings on 30 acres of land) and Westport in Winnipeg, Manitoba (Mixed Use Development initially on 74 acres of land), Selkirk Crossing and several others.

Throughout his extensive career spanning four decades, John has received numerous prestigious awards from the Winnipeg Realtors Commercial Division, John Pearson has been guided by the same essential values from day one.

To him, it is a matter of working with people to achieve a common goal. No matter how big the project is, where it’s located or how long it takes, John presents his clients with a clear vision and the best way to get there, exhibiting every single day that to develop real estate, the first thing you need to build is trust.
